Milestones

  • March 2008 - New Specialties
In the month of March, RBRA has added two new specialty areas to its research program: Oncology/Hematology and Sports Medicine. RBRA strives to bring specialty care and increase treatment options for patients through leading-edge clinical trials, and the addition of these specialty interests greatly bolsters these goals.
  • March 2008 - A Cancer Alliance
RBRA has teamed up with Georgia Cancer Specialists (GCS) here in the RiverStone Medical Campus. We welcome Dr. John Manfredi, MD and Dr. William Whaley, MD, FACP to our group of investigators who specialize in treating patients with cancer.
  • March 2008 - Team Work
RBRA has embraced a sporting culture this month. We welcome Dr. Mark Leski, MD and Dr. Stefanie Shaver, MD to our Sports Medicine Research Program. Not to be overlooked, however, Dr. Whaley, MD, FACP who recently joined our Oncology program is also the team internist for the National Hockey League's (NHL) Atlanta Thrashers. Go team go!
  • April 2008 - Expansion Phase
RBRA's steady growth over the past decade has meant the need for more research space. Upon completion of Phase II (set for the end of February 2008) of RiverstoneMD, P.C., RBRA's current research facility is set to double, allowing for greater patient screening and enrollment, and reducing patient wait times.
  • January 2008 - Fresh Look
To commemorate the beginning of the company's next 100 clinical trials studies, RBRA revamped its website. The new site features an easy to use layout and clean design, intended to provide information on RBRA's activities, to both sponsors and patients.
  • October 2007 - New Leadership
Dr. Maxwell Eblaghie, PhD is hired as Chief Research Officer to head research operations at RBRA. A Duke University trained postdoctoral scientist, Dr. Eblaghie aims to bring a greater diversity of studies to meet RBRA's patients' ever changing medical needs.
  • July 2007 - Pediatrics Sense
Dr. Kelly Koay, MD joins RBRA as research sub-investigator. Dr. Koay's training in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics will assist RBRA's goals in securing more pediatrics clinical trials studies - a growing need in North Georgia.
  • December 2006 - Century Milestone
A Pfizer-sponsored heartburn study brings RBRA's tally of clinical trials research studies to 100.
